Steps
1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
2. Add the sausage and cook until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, add onions and garlic, sauté until translucent.
4. Add sliced bell peppers and cook until they start to soften, about 5 minutes.
5. Pour in crushed tomatoes, oregano, red chili flakes, salt, and pepper.
6. Return the sausage to the skillet, nestling it into the peppers and sauce.
7. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
8. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving.
