Steps
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Season the duck breast with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
3. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the duck breast, skin-side down, for about 5 minutes until crispy. Flip and sear the other side for 2 minutes.
4. Remove the duck and set aside. In the same skillet, add broccoli and carrots, sautéing for 3-4 minutes.
5. Place the duck breast on top of the veggies in the skillet and sprinkle shredded cheese over everything.
6. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the duck is cooked to your liking and the cheese is bubbly.
7. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing the duck and serving hot with the veggies.
