Steps

2. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
3. In a bowl, mix the cooked pasta with butter, salt, and pepper until well combined.
4. Transfer the pasta to a small baking dish, creating a small well in the center.
5. Crack the egg into the well, then sprinkle cheese on top of the pasta and egg.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the egg is set and the cheese is bubbly.
7. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
