
Steps
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- While the skillet is heating, butter one side of each slice of bread.
- Place one slice of bread, butter side down, in the skillet.
- Layer the ham and cheese on top of the bread in the skillet.
- Crack the egg into the skillet next to the sandwich and cook to your desired doneness (sunny-side up, over-easy, etc.).
- Once the egg is cooked, place the second slice of bread on top of the sandwich, butter side up.
- Flip the sandwich carefully and cook until both sides are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from heat, add ketchup to taste, and serve hot.

- 2 slices of bread
- 2 slices of ham
- 1 slice of cheese (your choice)
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 1 egg
- Ketchup to taste
