Steps
1. Pat the fish fillet dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
2. Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten egg, and one with a mixture of breadcrumbs, herbs, garlic powder, and paprika.
3. Dredge the fish in flour, shaking off the excess, then dip it in the beaten egg, and finally coat it with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
5. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the breaded fish in the pan and fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
6. Remove the fish from the pan and place it on paper towels to drain any excess oil.
7. Serve hot with lemon wedges and your favorite tartar sauce.
