Fèves à la Catalane

A traditional Catalan dish featuring broad beans cooked with garlic, tomatoes, and a touch of smoky paprika. This simple and flavorful recipe celebrates the vibrant and earthy flavors of Catalonia.

Steps

1. If using fresh broad beans, blanch them in boiling water for 3 minutes, then drain and remove the outer skins. If using frozen, thaw and drain. 2. Heat olive oil in a small pan over medium heat. 3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. 4. Add the diced tomato and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened. 5. Stir in the broad beans, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. 6. Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until flavors meld and beans are heated through. 7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm as a side or light meal.
