Steps

1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat until melted. 2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it. 3. Add the cleaned clams to the skillet and stir well to coat them in the garlic butter. 4. Cover the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the clams open up. 5. Discard any clams that do not open. Season with salt and pepper, then stir in the chopped parsley and basil. 6. Serve the clams immediately with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the top.
