1. In a medium pot, bring 1 inch of water to a simmer and add the clams. 2. Cover and steam for about 5-7 minutes until clams open. Discard any that remain closed. 3. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. 4. Add the steamed clams to the skillet, along with the lemon juice, parsley, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat in the garlic butter. 5. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, allowing flavors to meld. 6. Serve immediately, with crusty bread if desired to soak up the sauce.
