Steps
1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
3. Add turmeric and sauté for a minute.
4. Add the rice and sauté for another minute.
5. Add water (follow the package instructions for the rice-to-water ratio), salt, and bring to a boil.
6. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the rice is cooked.
7. Fluff the rice with a fork and let it sit covered for a few minutes before serving.
