
Steps
- Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Cook the rice according to package instructions, usually in a rice cooker or on the stovetop.
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce and rice vinegar. Set aside.
- Once the rice is cooked, let it cool slightly.
- In a bowl, layer the rice, followed by diced salmon, avocado slices, and julienned cucumber.
- Drizzle the soy sauce mixture over the top.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds and add strips of nori on the side.
- Serve with optional wasabi and pickled ginger if desired.

- 1/2 ripe avocado, sliced
- 1/2 cucumber, julienned
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 1 seaweed sheet (nori), cut into strips
