Steps
1. Cook the spaghetti in a pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until fragrant, about 1 minute.
3. Drain the pasta, reserving a bit of the cooking water.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the pan with the garlic oil. Toss to combine, adding a splash of reserved pasta water if needed.
5. Stir in the chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
6. Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
