Pan-Seared Cod with Lemon Butter Sauce

Steps

1. Season the cod fillet with salt and pepper on both sides. 2. In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. 3. Add the cod fillet to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. 4. Remove the cod fillet from the skillet and set aside. 5. In the same skillet, melt the remaining tablespoon of butter over medium heat. 6. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute. 7. Stir in the lemon juice and cook for an additional minute. 8. Remove the skillet from heat and pour the lemon butter sauce over the cooked cod fillet. 9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
