Steps
- Season the cod fillet with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the cod fillet to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is opaque and easily flakes with a fork.
- Remove the cod from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the lemon juice to the skillet and stir to combine with the garlic and butter.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has slightly thickened.
- Pour the lemon butter sauce over the cooked cod fillet.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
