
Steps
- Score the skin of the duck breast in a criss-cross pattern and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Place the duck breast skin-side down and cook for 5-6 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden brown.
- Flip the duck breast and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare or adjust cooking time according to desired doneness.
- Remove the duck breast from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to low and add honey, orange juice, orange zest, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Stir in the butter until melted and well combined.
- Slice the rested duck breast and drizzle the orange glaze over the slices.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
