Steps
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted boiling water until al dente.
2. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
3. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
4. Add the halved pomodrini tomatoes to the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they soften and release their juices.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Drain the cooked pasta and add it to the sauce, tossing to combine.
7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
