
Steps
- Take the beef steak out of the fridge and let it come to room temperature for about 15 minutes.
- Season both sides of the steak generously with salt and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add the steak to the skillet and sear for about 3-4 minutes on one side, until a golden-brown crust forms.
- Flip the steak and add butter, minced garlic, and rosemary to the skillet.
- Baste the steak with the melted butter and garlic mixture while cooking for another 3-4 minutes for medium-rare. Adjust cooking time for your preferred doneness.
- Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- Serve with a squeeze of lemon juice over the top for added brightness.
