Steps
1. Rinse the quinoa under cold water and drain.
2. In a saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions, salt, and pepper, and sauté until caramelized (about 10 minutes).
3. Stir in the thyme and garlic powder, cooking for another minute.
4. Add the quinoa and vegetable broth to the saucepan. Bring to a boil, then cover and reduce to a simmer for 15 minutes.
5. Once the quinoa is cooked, fluff it with a fork and mix in the caramelized onions.
6. Serve in a bowl and garnish with fresh parsley.
