Steps
1. Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
2. In a small saucepan, combine the rinsed rice, coconut milk, water, turmeric, cumin, and salt.
3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
4. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the liquid is absorbed.
5. Remove from heat and let it sit, covered, for an additional 5 minutes.
6. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve in a bowl.
7. Top with fresh cilantro and your choice of chopped vegetables or protein.
