
Steps
- Peel and cube the potato, then boil it in salted water until tender.
- In a pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
- Add the chopped onions, garlic, and ginger to the pan; sauté until the onions are translucent.
- Stir in the chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften.
- Add turmeric, red chili powder, and salt; mix well.
- Drain the boiled potato and add it to the pan. Mash it gently into the mixture.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired and serve warm.
