Steps
1. Peel and cube the potato, then boil it in salted water until tender.
2. In a pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
3. Add the chopped onions, garlic, and ginger to the pan; sauté until the onions are translucent.
4. Stir in the chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften.
5. Add turmeric, red chili powder, and salt; mix well.
6. Drain the boiled potato and add it to the pan. Mash it gently into the mixture.
7. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
8. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired and serve warm.
