Steamed Vegetable Dumplings with Hokkaido Pumpkin

Steps

  1. Prepare the filling: In a bowl, combine the diced Hokkaido pumpkin, grated carrot, grated potato, chopped spinach, and finely chopped onion.
  2. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste, and mix well until combined.
  3. Take a dumpling wrapper and place a spoonful of the vegetable filling in the center.
  4. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water, fold it over, and pinch to seal tightly.
  5. Repeat the process until all the filling is used.
  6. Set up a bamboo steamer over a pot of simmering water.
  7. Arrange the dumplings in the steamer, making sure they are not touching.
  8. Steam the dumplings for about 15 minutes, or until the wrappers become translucent and the filling is cooked through.
  9. Serve hot with soy sauce or your choice of dipping sauce.
