Steps
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. In a baking dish, layer the sliced potatoes and tomatoes alternately.
3. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano.
4. Drizzle the mixture over the layered potatoes and tomatoes.
5. If using, sprinkle grated cheese on top.
6. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the top is golden and the potatoes are tender.
8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
