Butter Braised Steak with Roast Potatoes

A succulent butter braised steak paired with crispy, golden roast potatoes. This dish combines rich, buttery flavors with a perfect roast to create a comforting and satisfying meal.

Steps

1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F). 2. Toss the halved baby potatoes with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread evenly on a baking tray and roast for 25-30 minutes until golden and crispy. 3. Season the steak with salt and pepper on both sides. 4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tbsp butter. 5. Once melted and bubbling, add the steak along with the crushed garlic and rosemary sprig. 6. Cook the steak for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium rare, spooning the melted butter over the steak as it cooks to baste. 7. Remove steak from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes. 8. Serve the butter-braised steak alongside the crispy roast potatoes, garnishing with the roasted garlic and rosemary if desired.
