Steps
1. In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, semolina, egg, sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
3. Scoop spoonfuls of the mixture into the hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides.
4. Remove fritters from oil and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
5. Serve warm with a dollop of sour cream and a spoonful of fruit preserves on top.
