Italian Pasta and Potato Bake

A healthy and delicious Italian dish combining the goodness of pasta and potatoes, baked to perfection. Perfect for a comforting weeknight meal.

Steps

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). 2. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside. 3. In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until the onion becomes translucent. 4. Peel and thinly slice the potatoes. 5. Add the sliced potatoes, tomato sauce, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper to the pan. Stir well to combine. 6. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it evenly. 7. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. 8. Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown. 9. Serve hot, sprinkled with grated Parmesan cheese.
