Steps

1. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. 2. Sauté garlic and shallot until fragrant. 3. Add chopped kimchi and stir-fry for 2 minutes. 4. Push ingredients to the side of the pan, crack in the egg, and scramble until cooked. 5. Add the cooked rice and mix everything together thoroughly. 6. Stir in soy sauce and gochujang, mixing evenly to coat the rice. 7. Season with salt and pepper to taste. 8. Remove from heat and garnish with sliced spring onion, cucumber, and fried shallots if desired. 9. Serve hot and enjoy the blend of Indonesian and Korean flavors.
