Steps

1. Season the mackerel fillet with salt and pepper on both sides. 2. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. 3. Once hot, place the mackerel fillet skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy. 4. Carefully flip the fillet and cook for another 2-3 minutes until cooked through. 5. Remove the mackerel from the skillet and set aside. 6. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. 7. Add the lemon juice, stir to combine, and let it bubble for another minute. 8. Pour the lemon butter sauce over the mackerel fillet and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
