Steps

1. Heat the oil in a medium pot over medium heat. 2. Add two or three popcorn kernels to the pot and cover. 3. When the test kernels pop, add the remaining popcorn kernels in an even layer. 4. Cover the pot, remove from heat for 30 seconds to let kernels reach popping temperature. 5. Return the pot to heat; the popcorn will start popping. 6. Once popping slows to 2-3 seconds between pops, remove from heat. 7. Immediately sprinkle salt over the popcorn and shake the pot to distribute evenly. 8. Serve warm and enjoy your salty snack.
