Gently fold in the almond flour, granulated sugar, and almond extract until well combined. 4. Scoop small spoonfuls of the mixture onto the baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. 5. Optionally, dust the tops lightly with powdered sugar. 6. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until the edges are golden and the macarons feel firm to the touch. 7. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
