
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk the egg white with a pinch of salt until frothy but not stiff.
- Gently fold in the almond flour, granulated sugar, and almond extract until well combined.
- Scoop small spoonfuls of the mixture onto the baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Optionally, dust the tops lightly with powdered sugar.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes or until the edges are golden and the macarons feel firm to the touch.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
