Steps
1. Peel and chop the potato into small cubes.
2. In a pot, bring water to a boil and add the potato cubes. Cook until tender, about 15 minutes.
3. In a small skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the onions until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
4. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
5. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the coffee, sautéed onion and garlic mixture, salt, and pepper.
6. Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy.
7. Transfer the mashed potatoes to a plate and drizzle with ketchup before serving.
