
Steps
- Peel and chop the potato into small cubes.
- In a pot, bring water to a boil and add the potato cubes. Cook until tender, about 15 minutes.
- In a small skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the onions until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the coffee, sautéed onion and garlic mixture, salt, and pepper.
- Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy.
- Transfer the mashed potatoes to a plate and drizzle with ketchup before serving.
