English Fish and Chips

Steps

1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F. 2. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. 3. Season the cod fillet with salt, pepper and garlic powder and place it in the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes each side. 4. Place the cut potatoes in a bowl, add a pinch of salt, pepper and garlic powder. Toss to combine. 5. Place the potatoes on a baking tray and bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes until golden and crisp. 6. In a bowl, combine the flour and beer to make a batter. 7. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat. 8. Dip the cod fillet into the batter and then carefully place it into the pan with the hot oil. Fry for 3-5 minutes until golden. 9. Serve the crisp fish and chips with your favourite condiment of choice. Enjoy!
