German Broccoli in White Sauce

This classic German vegan dish is made with broccoli and a creamy white sauce. Enjoy with a side of boiled potatoes or other grains!

Steps

1. Boil the broccoli in salted water until it's tender, about 5 minutes. Drain the water and set aside. 2. In a small pot, heat the butter over medium heat until melted. 3. Add the flour and whisk until a paste forms. 4. Gradually pour in the vegetable broth, whisking all the while. 5. Simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens. 6. Add the cream and season with salt and pepper. 7. Add the cooked broccoli and stir until it's evenly coated with the sauce. 8. Serve with boiled potatoes or other grains.
