
Steps
- Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a pot, combine the rinsed rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook for 15 minutes or until water is absorbed.
- In a small bowl, mix the miso paste with soy sauce and a splash of warm water until smooth.
- Once the rice is cooked, remove from heat and let it sit for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork.
- Stir in the miso mixture and sesame oil into the rice until well combined.
- Serve the miso rice in a bowl and top with julienned carrot, cucumber slices, and green onions.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and season with salt and pepper to taste.
