Steps

1. Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear. 2. In a pot, combine the rinsed rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook for 15 minutes or until water is absorbed. 3. In a small bowl, mix the miso paste with soy sauce and a splash of warm water until smooth. 4. Once the rice is cooked, remove from heat and let it sit for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork. 5. Stir in the miso mixture and sesame oil into the rice until well combined. 6. Serve the miso rice in a bowl and top with julienned carrot, cucumber slices, and green onions. 7. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and season with salt and pepper to taste.
