
Steps
- Season the short ribs with salt and pepper.
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sear the short ribs until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, sauté the onions and garlic until softened.
- Add the red wine and beef broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pot.
- Return the short ribs to the pot, cover, and simmer on low heat for about 2-3 hours or until the meat is tender.
- Serve the short ribs with the red wine sauce, garnished with fresh herbs.
