Steps
1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta cooks, melt the margarine in a skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
4. Once the pasta is cooked, reserve a little pasta water, then drain it and add it to the skillet with the garlic and margarine.
5. Toss the pasta in the skillet, adding reserved pasta water a tablespoon at a time if needed to create a sauce.
6. Season with salt, pepper, and fresh parsley, mixing well.
7. Serve immediately, topped with Parmesan cheese if desired.
