
Steps
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
- Meanwhile, dice the tomatoes and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the diced tomatoes to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes soften and release their juices.
- Drain the cooked spaghetti and add it to the skillet with the tomato sauce. Toss well to coat the pasta.
- Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the torn basil leaves.
- Serve the tomato basil pasta hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese.
