Tomato Basil Pasta

A refreshing and flavorful pasta dish made with ripe tomatoes and fresh basil.

Steps

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Meanwhile, dice the tomatoes and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add the diced tomatoes to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes soften and release their juices.
  5. Drain the cooked spaghetti and add it to the skillet with the tomato sauce. Toss well to coat the pasta.
  6. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the torn basil leaves.
  7. Serve the tomato basil pasta hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese.

  • 150g spaghetti
  • 2 medium ripe tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for garnish
