Vietnamese Rice Vermicelli Bowl

This quick and easy Vietnamese-style dish is packed with flavor and can be served as a light meal or as a side dish.

Steps

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the rice vermicelli and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add the carrots, bean sprouts, and green onions and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Add the cooked vermicelli, cilantro, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Serve immediately.
