- Season the fish fillet with salt and pepper. 2. In a pan, heat vegetable oil and cook the fish until golden brown. Set aside. 3. In the same pan, sauté chopped onions until translucent. 4. Add diced tomatoes and cook until softened. 5. Stir in sliced mushrooms and cook until tender. 6. Add cheese and stir until melted. 7. Place the cooked fish on a plate and pour the cheesy mushroom sauce over it. 8. Serve hot.
